Help Us: Don't Throw It Away
A message from the Nottingham A.A. Archivist:
I am trying to gather as much information and archival material about Nottingham AA as possible. Of particular interest are the first meeting in Nottingham and all the meetings up to present day. If you have been one of the founder members of a group then I would like to hear from you, so that I can catalogue as much of the development of AA as possible.
Also of special interest are:
- Old AA literature (big books, where to finds, etc)
- AA Memorabilia, and photos.
- Old intergroup reports.
- Information on howPrison service in Nottingham started.
- If it's about AA in nottingham then it needs to be saved.
Also as there are people who have got together their own personal collection, something I would like to do is set up an inventory of who is keeping what, so that it doesn't get lost in the passage of time.
The aim is to collect together as much information as possible, so that it can be displayed at conventions, and also that anyone interested in the history of AA in Nottingham can view it at request. I feel that collecting and keeping records in an organised way is essential for the history of AA in Nottingham.
If anyone is interested in helping with this project (in any capacity) it would be very much appreciated.
